Workplace risk advisory line: 1300 761 891
The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) is trialling an Advisory Line to assists its members with expert advice for issues relating to workers’ compensation, workplace safety and Human Resource and Industrial Relation matters.
Serviced by Aegis Risk Management Services (Aegis) and the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC), the Advisory Line will be operating Australia-wide Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 7:00 pm AEST
By calling 1300 761 891 AMPC Members will have access to advice with issues relating to:
- Workers’ compensation (claims and injury management, legislation, return-to-work, insurance etc.)
- Workplace safety (general safety and policy, inspector visits, incident investigation, incident response etc.)
- Human resources and industrial relations (Fair work, awards, wages and superannuation, severance and termination, disciplinary procedures etc.)
Examples of issues the line can provide guidance and assistance with include:
- Provision of appropriate claim forms for your relevant jurisdiction
- Guidance and strategies for the return to work process
- How to respond after an accident
- Performance and conduct/ disciplinary procedures
Messages can be left outside of the operating hours and contact relating to the issue will be made once the Advisory Line reopens.
All calls are triaged to ensure that the appropriate expert is assigned to assist on the matter.
